Flamingo & Carnation (repeat A), tile designed by William De Morgan. This bespoke embroidered art sees William De Morgan’s iconic tile design reimagined in stitch. The hand embroidered ‘tile’ has been stitched on recycled calico* and stretched over a wooden frame for display. 
*please note: due to the nature of the recycled material there may be discrepancies in colour and texture.

This embroidered art is based on the original ceramic tile by William De Morgan, tin glazed earthenware from the earliest period of De Morgan’s pottery. 6 inch tin glazed tile with a yellow carnation, green and turquoise leaves and mulberry coloured birds on a cream ground, dated between 1872-1907.
